We are so happy that Hailey is here! She is so fun, a great sleeper, always happy and smiley, and we love her so much! She has so much personality and that, on top of how big she's getting, makes people think she's a lot older than she is!

Oatman Adventures
Mike and I just had a fun adventure! We went to Oatman, AZ for the day and LOVED it!
It's just a dinky old town on Route 66, but what's so fun is that there are burros all over! These wild donkeys just hang out in town - They're SO cute! especially the babies! The brand-new babies get stickers put on their heads telling people not to feed them carrots because they'll choke! But all the others are fun to feed and some even get a little pushy! One lady turned her back after feeding one and got nipped in the butt because he wanted more!
We went to lunch at a place where ALL the walls, the ceiling, floor boards, EVERYTHING, is covered in dollar bills! I can't even imagine how much money is stapled to those walls! They give you a marker and a staple gun and you can put up a dollar! We had to do it! :o)
After lunch they had to close the 66 because they do gun shows! It was fun!
SUPER fun day trip out of Vegas!
(I couldn't get the pictures to go in the right order, but you get the point!)

making a house our home
Thank you to everyone for all the good wishes for the baby! We are very excited! I am excited to be able to start decorating and making the room cute for her! It'd be nice if I could get to that point where everyone says I'm supposed to feel good and have lots of energy though! I'm thinking people just say that to help you hold on a little longer and have something to look forward to!
~
I've been on a kick lately to make our house more homey! Since we moved in - last July - our walls have been pretty bare, except for the nasty flat white paint and the black marks from any time anything touches them! I'm starting to find pictures to hang and make the walls a little nicer - and now, thanks to my sister-in-law, I finally found something to do with our 'Mother Mary'-looking wall arch!

When we moved in all we could do was joke about putting a picture of Mary or the crucifix in this stupid thing but Natalie cut some vinyl for me and now, other than it being a little crooked, I think it looks alright! (it'll be better once we get to paint the walls!)

We had the Elders over for dinner a little while ago, Mike's dad came because he was home alone - Mike made some awesome steaks! As they always do, the Elders left us with the question "do you know anyone we could visit with?" They went on to explain about member missionaries and how we could use our home to introduce people to the gospel. One elder then told us that our home would be a great place to have people over because he could definitely feel the Spirit in our home. Since we've been married my number one goal has been to make our home a place that the Spirit could always be. When Elder Cox said this I think it was the greatest compliment anyone has EVER given me! To know that our home is a place where people can come and feel the presence of the Spirit is such a great feeling!
I love the quote found in the Bible Dictionary - and know that it is SO true - "Only the home can compare with the temple in sacredness"! That's a pretty big deal! It takes thought and effort but it is worth it to know that your family is protected from the world in your home! This has also strengthened my testimony of being a wife and a mother and a daughter of God - to know that it is in my power to create such a sacred and safe place for those I love!

IT'S A......
GIRL!!!!
We're SO excited to be having a little girl this August! So far everything looks so good! It's fun to be able to see the ultrasound pictures and see that her little heart is pumping well and she's developing perfectly! It looks like she has an attitude though, or is at least very active! She likes to kick and flip and doesn't like to let the doctors see what they need to see! (The sonographer even said it looked like she was flipping us off once! HAHA)
So far so good! I feel like a cow but haven't actually gained much weight...YET :-S We are thinking about two names right now but probably will go back and forth over the next few months. Hannah - my favorite for the time being, and Maddison.

Long time = new news
It's been a long time since I've written! Some new things going on...
Mike and I started school again - it feels like we'll always been in school!
I took a permanent position at Foothill HS - I'm doing more office work than working with students, it's different but means less stress and more time for school!
and...
We're expecting! These are pictures of our 12+ week old baby. We're very excited and are due the first week of August!
A few profile pics and one of the bottom of one foot and the side of the other!
